Hi,
write down your email and I will send you some realy interesting reading about czech pavisas with sign of Prague (one of them was found in France!). Unfortunately its in Czech, but I hope, you cand handle it.
About reenacting groups doing early XV. century, there are some in Czech (its better to call them "fencing" groups). I know about projects trying to make goup of crossbowmen, but they are not so serious...
I have only one link, that should be interesting for you: http://houfy.webzdarma.cz/ . Its website of reenacting group doing especialy "lancknechts" but they are also doing "husites" and I hope it can help you

...and here are my photos of some other czech pavise, but this one is a bit younger, I guess it's from the second half of the 15th century.

I absolutely agree with you... There are no writen sources from which author was drawing (both in Wager and Ospreys publications), but lately you can recognize their reproductions on originals...
BTW: In the book I have promised you are some sources on which was Wagner drawing upon. I will send it as soon as possible (I hope on begining of next week)...

Tato pavéza z roku 1480 je sice rakouská, ale jsou zde zajímavé detailní fotky.
